And, well, it might very well be the case that Osamah Almarwai will be Musumeci’s toughest opponent to date.
Almarwai has earned his black belt from Andre Galvao just a little over year ago, but has already reaped success after success at the highest levels of competition.
That is, in 2022, he won the IBJJF Masters World Championship, No-Gi American Nationals, No-Gi Pans, and No-Gi World Championship titles.

The Yemeni national has also competed under the ADCC ruleset, as well as the Fight 2 Win submission only format – which is very similar to the ONE Championship’s submission grappling ruleset.
In other words, Almarwai has both experience and success behind him. His match against Mikey Musumeci will be a spectacular one for sure, with both athletes going for a submission!
