New Wave Jiu-Jitsu Confirmed For CJI 2 – Gordon Ryan Talks If He Will Compete Or Not

Craig Jones has officially confirmed that New Wave Jiu-Jitsu will be one of the teams competing at CJI 2!

Jones has been carefully assembling the lineup for CJI 2, building on the success of the inaugural event.
With more time to plan and refine the format, the upcoming tournament promises to be even bigger.

He first hinted at the event during the broadcast of the original CJI, and by the end of the year, he had already revealed that the second installment would feature a team grappling format with some of the world’s most elite academies.

Danaher had previously spoken positively about the first CJI, and with a million-dollar prize pool on the line, it’s no surprise that New Wave has secured a spot.

With their participation confirmed, the remaining slots are quickly filling up. 10th Planet has already entered a team, and B-Team is essentially a lock, leaving five spots available.

Gordon Ryan has then shared if he will compete:

I was never invited to CGI 1, which made a little sense financially. Our team was invited to CGI 2, where I’d be making less to win than I do to even show at other events.
