Mikey Musumeci was a guest on a recent podcast episode with Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson – and he shared a lot of his opinions.
For instance, he shared his thoughts on wanting to change the approach to PEDs in the sport, as well as how PED abuse can negatively influence athletes…
For example, Gordon Ryan:
I’m trying to change it… They don’t like change.
They want everything to stay the same. They want no drug testing, all these things they are for…Gordon Ryan is one year older than me. He looks like he is 40.
Like, how is that even possible?
Musumeci went to criticize some of the double standards in Jiu-Jitsu as well, such as when an athlete opts out of one event in order to make money in another:
Everything is double standards in Jiu-Jitsu.
Even ONE Championship, I got so much sh*t for going to ONE for two years and not doing IBJJF and those (other) tournaments, because I started making money.
And then what happened, CJI came & then all the competitors dropped out of ADCC and went to CJI…
And then, you know what they said? “Why would we do ADCC? We’re making money!”But the same people talked sh*t about me competing at ONE, making money.
