Mason Fowler Set To Defend Title Against Devhonte Johnson At UFC BJJ 9

Mason Fowler is set to defend his light-heavyweight title against Devhonte Johnson at UFC BJJ 9 on June 4, in what is currently the only confirmed title fight on the card.

The matchup stands out as the biggest draw of the event, despite other bouts featuring rising talents like Achilles Rocha and Bella Mir, who are also scheduled to compete.

This will not be the first time Fowler and Johnson meet
Their previous clash came in the final of the under 99kg division at the ADCC North American East Coast Trials in 2021.

Both athletes had strong runs through the bracket, but the final proved to be a closely contested match with no points scored, ultimately ending in a decision victory for Fowler.
Since then, both competitors have continued to build impressive resumes.

Fowler captured the light-heavyweight title at UFC BJJ 2 and has already defended it once at UFC BJJ 6, establishing himself as one of the top athletes in the division.
Johnson, meanwhile, won the IBJJF No-Gi World Championship in 2021 and has remained a consistent threat against elite competition ever since.

Now, Johnson has the opportunity to avenge his previous loss, while Fowler will be looking to secure a more decisive victory and continue his reign as champion.
