Mason Fowler Confirms Participation At Craig Jones Invitational (CJI)

Yes, it’s official…
Mason Fowler, winner of ADCC East & West Coast Trials 2019 and 2021 & an ADCC veteran, has decided to compete at the Craig Jones Invitational (CJI) rather than at ADCC 2024!

The news were shared via social media:

Mason Fowler is officially in CJI.

One of the P4P best and also a legend for submitting Craig Jones with hip pressure.

Fowler revealed the “reason” he received the invitation:

Craig only invited me to this tournament to give me pink eye again.

This way, Fowler joins a number of athletes who have opted for CJI instead of ADCC 2024: Nicky Ryan, Nick Rodriguez, Ffion Davies, Jozef Chen, and William Tackett.

Craig Jones explained why this tournament will change things for the better in the world of submission grappling:

We will change this game and create an annual event.

If some miss out this year, such as lighter weight men and we really hope not women.
We will eventually create something that takes care of all.

Would be a shame to not have people like Ffion [Davies] involved, who is a positive voice in this community and a role model to many young athletes.
