Reports coming from Arizona suggest that a man allegedly shot and killed his friend… During an argument the two were having about mixed martial arts (MMA) and boxing.
According to the local news outlet Arizona’s Family, Cameron Drake (24) is facing a second-degree murder charge for the death of Dylan Forbes (24).
Police said that the two men were arguing in a car before a shooting happened at around 9pm on Tuesday, February 21.
After Forbes was shot, another (third) person who was in the car with the two jumped out and called 911. Drake also called the police, reportedly saying that he shot a person in self defense.
When police officers arrived to the scene, they found Forbes dead in the front passenger seat of the car.
According to their documents, Drake said that him and Forbes were arguing and that he told Forbes to get out of the vehicle. Forbes refused and, according to Drake, then pointed a gun at him.
Then, Drake said that he fired the shot when Forbes turned his head.
However, the third passenger had a different story. He said that he was trying to deescalate an argument that the two had about MMA and boxing.
Then, for no apparent reason, Drake pulled out a gun and shot Forbes.
