LFA 121 took place last Friday, on January 14. Streamed over UFC Fight Pass, it featured immensely entertaining fights – one of them being a bout between Michael Cry and Aldan Coria.
Cyr managed to show off his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu skills in a superb fashion; at one point almost getting the Twister finish, but ultimately winning via a vicious Rear Naked Choke.
Cyr and Coria spent the first two rounds of the match mostly on their feet, exchanging strikes with approximately similar levels of success. However, as they stepped into the third round, Coria went for a takedown.
Cyr sprawled the takedown and managed to set up a Twister. He seemed to be extremely close to getting the tap, but his opponent somehow pushed through.

Nevertheless, the threat of the submission did force Coria to give up his back. Michael Cyr took advantage of that; he trapped Coria’s arm behind his own back, pinned him belly-down on the canvas, and sunk in a deep Rear Naked Choke… Getting the tap in a manner of seconds.
There is magic in that mullet! #LFA121
