Last weekend Warsaw was host to the AD World Pro Warsaw trials. The big winner of the event was Lucio Lagarto . He won his division as well as the absolute black belt. The Brazilian is one of only two players to ever leave Poland with two gold medals. This first time was two years ago with Denmmark’s Alexander Trans. Lagarto beat Italy’s Luca Anacoreta in the final of his division

Lagarto thus secured a place for the final tournament of the World Pro and once again will be able to fight for the title of best BJJ player in Abu Dhabi. The representative of Gracie Barra is one of the few that can boast to have beaten the  current best BJJ player in the world Marcus Buchecha . Two years ago, he won gold in the finals of the World Pro + 92 kg category by defeating the young player from Checkmat 5-0 on points.

A local star also took double gold: Poland’s Maciej Kozak who dominated the brown belt division and absolute.
