Khabib Says Michael Jordan Wouldn’t Survive “Dagestani Basketball”

Khabib Nurmagomedov has gone viral once again – this time for turning an innocent fan question into a full-blown Dagestani crossover sequel to The Last Dance.

During a Q&A in Chicago, the former UFC lightweight champion was asked about Michael Jordan and the legendary Bulls dynasty.

Instead of giving the typical respectful answer most athletes offer when MJ’s name comes up, Khabib did what only Khabib can do:

He brought up Dagestan:

Chicago Bulls, they have different rules, but in Dagestan basketball there are no rules.
You can wrestle, you can choke people…

Khabib has talked about “Dagestani basketball” for years, describing it as part basketball, part wrestling practice, and part survival test.
It’s chaotic, rough, and physical in a way that makes NBA flagrant fouls look like light pats on the shoulder.

And yet, beneath the humor, Khabib delivered all of this while clearly geeking out over Michael Jordan.
He’s said he became a massive fan after watching The Last Dance, calling it one of the most impressive things he’s ever seen. He even admitted he’d love to meet MJ someday.

Still, Khabib being Khabib, his competitive streak always slips out:

Before his Hall of Fame induction, when asked which celebrity he’d fight, he didn’t hesitate:

Michael Jordan. I think I could take him down.

In Dagestan basketball, you can do whatever you want.
