Joe Rogan Shares Picture Of Blue Belt Days – Training Under Jean Jacques Machado

Everyone starts somewhere. You can’t be a black belt level Jiu-Jitsu athlete immediately from the get-go, but you’ve got to put a lot of effort into training. You have to possess the patience, the consistency, and the willingness to learn if you wish to achieve what you’re set out to achieve. However, it certainly can be demotivating when you think about just how much further you’ve got to go.
The thing that can help in those moments is to look up to some other people and their own Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu journeys. For example, Joe Rogan’s!

JOE ROGAN WAS A BLUE BELT, TOO!

If you’re a blue belt, you’re going to love this. Just a couple of hours ago, every Jiujiteiro’s favorite podcaster – Joe Rogan – had shared a throwback picture to his earlier training days. And in the picture? It’s him, with his blue belt on, and the legendary Jean Jacques Machado.
The caption reads:

Throwback to the late 90’s when I started training with the great and powerful Jean Jacques Machado!

What makes this picture even more interesting is the Jean Jacques Machado’s black belt itself… It had six degrees on it – and that was all the way back in the 1990s! That just goes to show that Machado has been in the game for a very long time.
Machado responded to the picture by saying: “One of my best students, Joe Rogan.”

Here’s the picture. Keep going – for one day you, too, will be a black belt! And maybe you’ll even have your own podcast.
