Jake Shields Wanted To Organize An MMA Fight Against 10 Transgender Fighters

UFC veteran Jake Shields recently shared a provocative and controversial story during an appearance on the Overdogs Podcast…
Recounting his attempt to organize a bout against multiple transgender athletes.

According to Shields, his motivation was to challenge what he perceives as inconsistencies and absurdities in the discourse around gender and combat sports:

I was trying to fight 10 trans men. I was trying to show the absurdity of it…
I’d crack them and they would just go down.

In an effort to make the event happen, Shields revealed that he was willing to personally offer $100,000 as an incentive for participants.
Despite his attempts, he explained that no one accepted the challenge.

The discussion turned even more heated when Shields addressed a public challenge from a non-binary athlete:

I will beat that thing’s ass.
I don’t know if it’s a man or whatever, but I will beat the hell out of that thing.

Shields doubled down on his broader point – highlighting the skill gap between professional athletes and amateurs who might issue challenges without fully grasping the level of competition:

People are delusional.

They don’t understand the difference between high-level pros versus these amateurs.
