It was yesterday that Jake Paul donated $5,000 to the GoFundMe campaign of the UFC’s fighter Sarah Alpar. Paul posted on his Twitter account:

SMH… Imagine a rookie in the NBA had to start a GoFundMe to play.. I let Sarah @TOOSWEET_Alpar know she has my support and contribution It’s my honor and privilege to help fellow fighters in anyway I can.

Alpar initially set a goal of reaching $30,000 by December 1, 2021 in order to be able to train full time:

My goal is to raise $30,000 by December 1, 2021, to train full-time. Greater success requires greater time, dedication, and resources. For this, I am calling on you to help me! My heart is in this, and you will watch my progress as finances come in, and I believe with all my heart we, the “Too Sweet” Tribe, can get there.

In an Instagram post, she said that the money will go towards basic necessities – such as food and gym fees – in addition to larger expenses.

Alpar had previously beaten Shanna Young on Dana White’s Contender Series in August 2019. She debuted with the UFC with a third-round knockout loss at UFC Fight Night 178 last September.
