Islam Makhachev Talks Khabib Nurmagomedov’s Brutal Training Regime: “He Doesn’t Know Any Other Way”

UFC Lightweight Champion Islam Makhachev recently shared details about the grueling training regimen he endures under the watchful eye of Khabib Nurmagomedov.

Speaking about the intense sessions led by Khabib, Makhachev revealed how recovery days often transform into full-blown training marathons.
As, known for his relentless dedication, Khabib’s training philosophy emphasizes hard work above all else.

He described one such instance during a conversation with Demetrious Johnson:

Today, honestly, we started with the team.
We wanted some guys to go light, maybe rest tomorrow, and do some recovery.

Okay, you just go light and do like 30 minutes of running, like easy training.

However, the reality turned out to be very different:

When we came to the gym – 12 rounds on the boxing bags.
And after, everybody runs.

It’s not easy. And tomorrow, 10 in the morning, we have sparring.

This approach is emblematic of Khabib’s unyielding commitment to hard work.
For him, there’s only one path to success – total dedication:

This guy, he doesn’t know any other way.
He has one way: hard work. It’s always hard.

But I know I’ll be ready 100%.
Just believe him, just do what he says, and that’s it.
