Helena Crevar is heading back to the United Kingdom once again, this time to defend her Polaris lightweight championship against Amanda Pamela Nicole at Polaris 37.
By the time Polaris 37 arrives, it will nearly mark two full years since Crevar’s promotional debut at Polaris 28, where she became the organization’s first-ever women’s lightweight champion.
Since then, she has built one of the strongest résumés in Polaris history.
She successfully defended the lightweight belt at both Polaris 30 and Polaris 31 before stepping into a different role at Polaris 32 as captain of the North American Squad.
That event also marked the first loss of her Polaris career, when she dropped a short-format decision to Sula-Mae Loewenthal.
The setback didn’t last long, though.
Crevar later avenged the loss at Polaris 34, submitting Loewenthal and winning the featherweight title in the process.
The victory made her the promotion’s first female double champion.
Now, she returns to defend the lightweight belt once again against a dangerous new challenger.
Nicole enters the matchup with significant experience and a reputation for aggressive, action-heavy performances.
While she may enter as the underdog against one of the sport’s fastest-rising stars, the opportunity itself could become a major breakthrough moment for her career.
Facing someone of Crevar’s caliber on a Polaris main stage provides a massive spotlight – and Nicole is expected to push the pace from the opening exchange.
