Helena Crevar Joins CJI 2 Lineup As First Female Competitor

Craig Jones has officially announced that Helena Crevar will be the first female competitor in the Craig Jones Invitational 2!

Still just a teenager, Crevar has already built one of the most impressive resumes in the sport – and continues to rise.

She broke through in 2024 when she won the ADCC West Coast Trials, earning her place in the sport’s most elite no-gi tournament.
Despite her youth, Crevar made it all the way to the podium at ADCC 2024, securing a silver medal and becoming the youngest competitor in history to medal at the prestigious event.

That momentum carried over into other major shows.

She won the inaugural lightweight title at Polaris 28 and successfully defended it.
Then, at the start of 2025, Crevar claimed the WNO featherweight championship with a win over elite competitor Elisabeth Clay at WNO 27.

Crevar was also recently promoted to black belt by John Danaher, further cementing her position as one of the top rising stars in the grappling world.
Next up, she’s set to lead Team North America as captain for the first-ever Polaris Female Squads event — another sign of her growing leadership role in the sport.

Needless to say, Crevar will be an interesting competitor to watch at CJI 2!
