GSP Sneaks Up On Khabib, “Chokes Him Out” at the Arnold Sports Festival

The fight between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Georges St-Pierre never took place, although many fans wished for it and although there were some talks of it happening… But nevertheless, there is an enormous amount of respect between the two fighters – which was once again shown in a wholesome moment at the Arnold Sports Festival UK.
As Khabib was sitting in a sofa, GSP sneaked up behind him and imitated choking him out:

It was all in good nature, as the two embraced and Khabib said:

Last time, when I met him in Moscow, I choked him.

GSP replied:

It was my turn now. Because last time, he came from behind me while I was at a restaurant and he took me by surprise. (So today) I told his team that I will slide behind him like a ninja and it’s gonna be my turn this time to get him.

Khabib went on to explain how Georges was his inspiration:

This guy was my father’s favorite fighter… I grew up watching his fights, you know? It’s my pleasure brother, my pleasure.

GSP returned the compliment in kind:

Man, you’re as close as to the perfect fighter as anybody can be. Perfect career, undefeated… You’ve finished your career on top of your game.
