Widely considered one of the greatest grapplers in history, Gordon Ryan recently pulled back the curtain on something most elite Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competitors keep under wraps – how much he charges for private lessons.
Ryan explained that he currently charges between $1,000 and $1,200 for a one-hour private session with a group of up to four people, adding that the rate could rise if demand increases.
Considering he recently opened the Kingsway Jiu-Jitsu HQ in Austin, Texas – already a magnet for BJJ practitioners from around the world – finding interested students likely won’t be a problem.
The city has become a global Jiu-Jitsu hub in recent years, attracting both locals and traveling grapplers eager to learn from the best.
Probably from 11am to 12pm, Monday-Friday, and 12:30-1:30pm Saturday and Sudnay, as I’ll be at the academy all day everyday until things are running smoothly.
If you’re interested in this, keep an eye out for updates, or ask me in person about them.
