3x ADCC Champion Gordon Ryan recently made an instagram posts where he recounted his loss in the 2017 ADCC absolute to Felipe Pena.
Ryan was saying how his performance was “terrible” & “filled with nothing but missed opportunities, poor decision making and a lack of knowledge.”
Ryan has lost twice to Pena, the first time was at the Studio 540 challenge where he lost his superfight with Pena by RNC.

🇧🇷Não consigo entender como alguém que ja perdeu 2x pra o outro consegue falar que perdeu pq era muito ruim mesmo tendo chegado na final do campeonato mais difícil do mundo… Dar uma desculpinha dessas pra mim é vergonhoso, ainda mais em uma posição como essa do video, pura técnica e mérito por ter pego as costas. Realmente você teve um desempenho excelente, foi campeão da categoria, finalizou excelentes atletas e chegou na final do absoluto! Mas perdeu pra mim a final e pronto, nao foi sua primeira derrota e nem vai ser a ultima, nenhum campeão é feito só de vitórias. Reconhecer a derrota e o mérito do outro não é fraqueza e sim uma virtude que vai te fazer evoluir. Se realmente acredita que hoje essa luta seria diferente prove, não fique inventando desculpinhas na internet como um garotinho mimado. Sem mimimi, sem argumentos falsos, sem enrolação, sem ficar se proclamando rei para que alguns bobos acreditem em você! If you really believe that this fight would be different today prove it, don’t be making excuses on the internet like a spoiled little boy. No mimimi, no false arguments, no tangling, no proclaiming yourself king for some fools to believe you! If someday you’re king or legend don’t worry, others will talk without you having to call yourself …
