Gordon Ryan & Felipe Pena Go Back & Forth on Social Media

3x ADCC Champion Gordon Ryan recently made an instagram posts where he recounted his loss in the 2017 ADCC absolute to Felipe Pena.

Ryan was saying how his performance was “terrible” & “filled with nothing but missed opportunities, poor decision making and a lack of knowledge.”

Ryan has lost twice to Pena, the first time was at the Studio 540 challenge where he lost his superfight with Pena by RNC.

Ryan’s post:

Pena responded with his own statement:

– 🇺🇸I can’t understand how someone who has already lost 2x to another can say that he lost because it was very bad even having reached the final of the most difficult championship in the world … To make such an excuse to me is shameful, especially in a position like this of the video, pure technique and merit for taking his back. You really did have an excellent performance, were champion of the category, finished great athletes and reached the absolute final! But lost to me the final and that’s a fact, it was not your first defeat and will not be the last, no champion is made only of victories. Recognize a defeat and opponent merit is not weakness but a virtue that will make you evolve. If you really believe that this fight would be different today prove it, don’t be making excuses on the internet like a spoiled little boy. No mimimi, no false arguments, no tangling, no proclaiming yourself king for some fools to believe you! If someday you’re king or legend don’t worry, others will talk without you having to call yourself …
