Gordon Ryan and Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson, aka “The Mountain”, had a roll just a day before Ryan’s UFC Fight Pass Invitational 3 match.
The roll was indeed a fun one and Björnsson admitted that he was humbled by it:
Literally went against the best and got humbled quite badly. I love trying out new sport and what a pleasure it was.

And during the recent interview at the MMA Hour, Ryan emphasized that this roll will serve as “proof” for everyone doubting Jiu-Jitsu’s effectiveness:
This [the roll with The Mountain] is actually perfect for me. Because now, whenever I get into an argument with an idiot who’s like: “I’m just too strong for that sh*t to work on me”, I can be like, well, I literally grappled the strongest person on the planet. And I can assure you that it worked.
Gordon did, however, realize that he might’ve made a mistake:
It was probably the dumbest and most risky career choice I’ve ever made. It was the day before I was supposed to compete.
I was like: “Man, if I get hurt, John [Danaher] is going to kill me.”
