Giancarlo Bodoni has officially signed with ONE Championship!
At just 29 years old, Bodoni has already cemented his place in grappling history as a two-time ADCC world champion – achieving the rare distinction of winning the under 88kg division back-to-back in 2022 and 2024.
His trajectory suggests he could potentially become one of the few athletes to secure three consecutive ADCC titles in 2026.
But before that milestone, fans now know he’ll be turning his focus to building a career in ONE Championship, likely with an eye on claiming one of their grappling titles.
And, even though the details about his debut opponent or weight class are still not public, there’s speculation that Bodoni will compete at middleweight (93kg).
This seems like a natural fit, as he has consistently competed at under 88kg in ADCC and above that weight in other events.
With the ONE Championship middleweight grappling title currently vacant, Bodoni has a clear path to claim it.
And, with the division being stacked with talent – including names like Dante Leon, Tye Ruotolo, and Francisco Lo – all of them could present matchups for Bodoni.
