Gezary Matuda: ‘I Don’t Approve of Sexy Pictures for BJJ Women Athletes’

Gezary Masuda is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt representing American Top Team and an active competitor and coach.

She is a 5x World Champion. In this interview with www.globe-mma.com, she talks about her performance at the last BJJ world championships where she lost in the final. She talks about her upcoming superfight with Michelle Nicolini at Polaris 2 on September 12.

Gezary also gave her opinion on the controversial topic of BJJ women athletes posing for sexy pictures.

2014 BJJ photographer of the year, William Burkhardt  of BJJPIX recently made a photo set of Jena Sapinoso, purple belt under Carlos Sapão in San Francisco, CA.

The fact that the pictures showed partial nudity while wearing a BJJ Gi caused quite a stir in the BJJ community.
