Gabi Garcia has been officially recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records!

The announcement was made by Raphaella Amorim in a post to her official Instagram account, where she highlighted Garcia’s incredible contributions to the world of combat sports.

The full transcript reads (as per Jits. Magazine):

Gabi Garcia will be officially recognised in the Guinness Book of World Records in November 2024, marking a monumental achievement in her career as the best athlete in all combat sports.

Over the years Gabi has accumulated countless world titles and gold medals competing against the most difficult athletes in the world, and established herself as a formidable force in all continents.

Her record-breaking achievements in combat sports are not limited to victories in competitions but extend to her innovative role in promoting women in sport, inside and outside the ring.

Amorim emphasized many of Garcia’s achievements:

Her entry in Guinness (Book of World Records) will probably highlight her many achievements, such as being the first woman to train a Sheikh in Abu Dhabi, the first woman to teach on The Ultimate Fighter (TUF), and her pioneering work as first woman to teach self-defense in the Sheriff’s Department in California.

Guinness Book of World Records frequently highlights extraordinary feats and the introduction of Gabi will put her among elite athletes who have exceeded the limits of what is possible.

This will consolidate her even more with a global win in the world of combat sports, celebrating her contributions not only as a fighter but as a pioneer, mentor, and defender of the empowerment of women in martial arts.
