In this exclusive tournament you can watch in action the best grapplers of the Eastern Europe. Our fifth edition of RAGNAROK will be held on 13th December 2014 in Świnoujście, Poland. We assure tournament webcast on the Internet in HD. Tournament will be commentated by Łukasz Jurkowski , known as Juras- ex MMA competitor, commentator.
- “This year’s edition is called “New Age” whereas last year’s event was called “Time of change”. Until now the tournament was based on grappling rules. Currently, the rules of Brazilian jiu jitsu has been modified and grappling fights will be shorter, they will last 6 minutes”, says the chairman of Berserkers Team Świnoujście, Łukasz Winiarski– tournament organiser.

All the best grapplers in the world will come to fight. Note that in last year’s tournament on mats in the Sports Hall of ZSO School (12 Witosa Street, Świnoujście) everyone could see in action Marcin Held (won in weight class to 77kg), who nowadays makes a lot of furore on Bellator MMA gala and also Marcin Bandel , who fights for world’s best MMA organisation- UFC. In Świnoujście there were also other great grapplers, i.a. Piotr Podstawczuk, Jędrzej Loska, Maciej Kozak, Maciej Polok, Oskar Piechota, Karol Dzieniszewski, Tomasz Michałowski and Maks Wiśniewski.
- “Talks with this year’s tournament competitors have already been underway. Surely, these will be all the best competitors not only in Europe but also in the world. For the first time we will host national grappling teams from Italy and France”, say the organisers of Świnoujście’s tournament.
Last year’s online webcast of RAGNAROK was seen by almost 20 thousand spectators and the relay by 6 thousand. At present, talks with sports channels that could televise this event have been underway. It has already been confirmed that tournament will be commentated by sports commentator, ex MMA and taekwondo competitor, Łukasz Jurkowski.
- “Two weeks after Poland Championships, i.e. on 22nd November 2014 there will be a relay of the last year’s RAGNAROK as a test. Our aim is to introduce new solutions and High Definition. We want the fifth edition of RAGNAROK to be tied up loose ends”, adds Łukasz Winiarski.
In the fifth edition of RAGNAROK, the participants are going to fight in four weight classes: NO GI to 71 kg and to 84 kg; GI to 77 kg and to 92 kg. In each weight class there are going to be eight competitors.
