Former ONE Flyweight World Champion and BJJ black belt Adriano Moraes has recently took to Reddit in an “Ask Me Anything” (AMA) session…

For example, he was asked what he would focus on if he started his BJJ journey from scratch.
Moraes answered:

Most important is the primary positions, the simple game is going to be with you forever even when you’re a black belt.
The simple game will be with you forever.

He also shared a part of what his recovery protocol looks like:

I focus on recovery, doing some massages, physiotheraphy, focus on rest, sauna, cold bath and good healthy food.

He also shared some additional pieces of advice that everyone should abide by:

Be on time and listen to your coaches.

I like to train as a lifestyle, part of my life like everybody should do.

(As an answer to a person asking if they can their on their own): You have to go to a class and be there in person.

(Answer to the question if someone should train BJJ or wrestling for MMA): Wrestling AND BJJ.
