Former ONE Fighter Ivan Parshikov Electrocuted – After Win At Thailand’s Wild “Weed Boxing” Event

In one of the strangest post-fight moments in recent combat sports memory, former ONE Championship fighter Ivan Parshikov was briefly electrocuted after winning a match at the Weed Boxing Championship (VVED BC) in Phuket, Thailand.

The June 22 event, which features a mix of cannabis consumption and combat sports, took place in a ring surrounded by a swimming pool.

Parshikov secured the victory, but what followed nearly turned tragic.

During his celebration, he attempted to leap toward the pool and grabbed a nearby light fixture.
The moment his hand made contact, a loud zap was triggered – and Parshikov’s body instantly went limp, collapsing to the canvas.

Miraculously, he regained consciousness just moments later and, undeterred, dove into the pool as originally planned.

The bizarre setup was explained by VestnikMMA, who noted:

There’s this unusual tournament in Thailand, held on Phuket Island called VVED BC, where it’s almost like regular boxing, but before the fight, you have to take a puff, and the ring is set up by a pool, so you can take a dip after the bout.

Parshikov later addressed the incident on Instagram, maintaining a good sense of humor about it all:

The idea of diving from the ring into the pool was not the most successful one.
I’ll upload the full chronology of the events a bit later.
