Almeida’s journey in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu began alongside his older brother, Ricardo Almeida, under the guidance of renowned instructors such as Carlos Gracie Jr., Renzo Gracie, and Marcio Feitosa.
Upon receiving his black belt, Almeida quickly established himself as one of the top-ranked competitors, winning medals at prestigious events like the IBJJF World Championship, Pan Championship, and European Championship.
His crowning achievement, though, came at ADCC 2007 – where he secured a silver medal in the under 88kg division, facing off against the legendary Demian Maia in the final.
Beyond the abovementioned successes in competition, Almeida has also dedicated over two decades to coaching and shaping the next generation of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioners.
