Ex-Chute Boxe BJJ Coach Cristiano Marcello Retires From MMA & Refocuses On Grappling Competitions

 

 

A Royler Gracie black belt, Cristiano Marcello was born in Rio de Janeiro, but built his career in Curitiba. He was coach of Chute Boxe and promoted Mauricio Shogun and Wanderlei Silva to BJJ black belt .

With 19 MMA fights and tickets for events such as Mecca, Pride and UFC , Cristiano Marcello has just put an end to his career as a mixed martial arts athlete. The lightweight, coming off two losses in a row in the UFC, said in an interview with tatame magazine, that he has decided to retire to devote himself to his academy, the CM System, and BJJ/grappling competitions  – he has confessed that he has the dream of fighting one ADCC .

“I’m officially retired from MMA. I will focus on my gym and do some No tournaments and fights. I want to compete in  ADCC and Metamoris “he said.
