Ethan Crelinsten Undergoes Successful ACL & Meniscus Surgery

Ethan Crelinsten – a BJJ black belt under John Danaher and a member of the newly founded B-Team – has undergone an ACL surgery in order to fix a problem that’s been hindering him for years.
He announced the news about surgery on social media:

I’ve had no ACL for three years now, just you wait till I’m back with a brand new knee 💪 @pit_viper glasses for the safety and morale boost of the surgical staff.

Basically, Crelinsten has been training and competing without an ACL for three years! And not only that… In a follow-up Story post to his Instagram account, Ethan shared that the surgery was a success; and that it also included meniscus repair:

Surgery was a success. Quadricep tendon ACL replacement and meniscus repair.

Even though he “had no ACL”, Crelinsten continued to compete in a lot of tournaments last year; such as the Fight To Win (F2W), Who’s Number One (WNO) and Submission Underground.
Sadly, due to surgery, he was forced to withdraw from the WNO Championships that will take place on September 25 and 26. He’s going to be replaced by Damien Anderson in the 155-pound division,
