Diego “Pato” Oliveira To Defend Lightweight Title Against Deandre Corbe At WNO 31

Reigning Who’s Number One (WNO) lightweight world champion Diego “Pato” Oliveira will put his title on the line against Deandre Corbe at WNO 31, on December 5th – a matchup that promises to be one of the most competitive bouts in the division’s recent history!

This will mark Oliveira’s second lightweight title defense, following his decision victory over Keith Krikorian at WNO 26.
The Brazilian standout remains one of the most active athletes in the sport, balancing a demanding global competition schedule while holding two WNO titles – lightweight and featherweight.

For Deandre Corbe, on the other hand, this match represents both a major opportunity and a familiar challenge.

Earlier this year, he won the Sapateiro Lightweight World Championship, defeating Oliveira in the semifinals en route to gold.
That match — decided by a narrow judges’ decision under ADCC rules – showcased just how evenly matched the two athletes are.

With WNO’s distinct judging criteria, the rematch so introduces new strategic variables that could tilt the outcome either way.

Adding to the excitement, WNO 31 will also feature multiple title bouts, including a heavyweight clash between Felipe Pena and Luke Griffith for the vacant championship.
Rising phenom Helena Crevar is also expected to defend her featherweight title, though her opponent has yet to be announced.
