Dana White Says Trying Jiu-Jitsu Will “Blow Your Mind”

Dana White joined Philadelphia Eagles safety Reed Blankenship and cornerback Cooper DeJean on a recent podcast, and the conversation took an unexpected detour when the UFC CEO steered both players toward Jiu-Jitsu.

Asked whether Blankenship and DeJean could hold their own against each other in a fight, White asked whether either of them ever did BJJ.
Neither player had.

White didn’t hold back on his response:

Try a Jiu-Jitsu class. You’ll become addicted, I guarantee you.

With DeJean, 23, and Blankenship, 27, both confirming they’d never trained, White laid out what he believes they were missing:

So, what you will say is, how have I walked around for 27, 23 years and not known this? That another human being could do this to me.

It’s like, you know, when you took the red pill in the Matrix and you saw what it was really like.
I’m telling you, you guys try Jiu-Jitsu class sometime and it’ll blow your mind.

He didn’t stop at just recommending it, either, offering to connect both players with a gym based on where they’re located.
Since Blankenship plays for the Houston Texans, White pointed him toward a specific contact:

You’re in Houston, right? So, my matchmaker Mick is in Houston and he has a Jiu-Jitsu school down there.
I’ll connect you with Mick.
