Dana White Calls Mark Zuckerberg & Tom Hardy To Compete At UFC BJJ

The UFC’s latest venture into Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu isn’t just for professional grapplers – according to Dana White, it’s also open to some very high-profile hobbyists.

In a recent statement, the UFC president made it clear that tech moguls and Hollywood stars alike are welcome to step onto the mats.
And he’s not joking.

White specifically named Mark Zuckerberg, Tom Hardy, and Mario Lopez as potential participants:

Zuckerberg has competed in tournaments. Mario Lopez competes in tournaments. Tom Hardy competes in tournaments.

So, this is a spot anybody could come and compete here in Jiu-Jitsu.

The announcement signals White’s vision of a unique league that bridges the gap between traditional BJJ competitions and the UFC’s massive entertainment platform.

With White now serving on Meta’s board of directors, the possibility of Zuckerberg joining the competition isn’t as far-fetched as it sounds:

If Mark keeps training and competing and whatever, he could literally come here and fight in UFC BJJ, 100%.

While some might scoff at the idea of actors and tech founders sharing the stage with world-class grapplers, White sees it as an extension of the sport’s growing popularity among celebrities:

Tom Hardy, Mario Lopez, and many, many other actors that are really good Jiu-Jitsu guys that nobody knows about.
That would be absolutely awesome!
