Amid rumors and viral pranks, Craig Jones has finally cleared the air – the 2025 Craig Jones Invitational (CJI 2) will stream completely free on YouTube.
For fans of professional grappling, it’s a huge relief.
With Jones revelaing a working partnership with FloGrappling, many worried that the groundbreaking event would disappear behind a paywall.
But according to Jones himself, that’s not happening:
In doing this partnership I really have to be quite apologetic…
I know a lot of people out there are like: “Oh does that mean CJI is gonna be on Flo?”Well I do have to apologise to absolutely f***ing no one, because it’s still gonna be free on YouTube and I’m gonna be working with FloGrappling.
The announcement puts an end to speculation sparked by a now-debunked viral clip of Jones being escorted out of FloGrappling headquarters by security.
At first glance, it looked like a genuine falling-out.
But it was later revealed to be a staged marketing stunt – one that cleverly set the stage for revealing a collaboration between Jones and Flo.
That revelation triggered a new wave of concern, though…
Would FloGrappling take over broadcasting duties and lock the event behind its monthly subscription?
Jones didn’t shy away from addressing the anxiety head-on:
A lot of cheap b***ards complaining about 3 million dollars wasted, another 2 to 3 million dollars wasted on this event.
They’re like: “Oh no Craig, is it gonna be on FloGrappling now you’re doing this work with FloGrappling?”
The answer is a definitive no. And more than that, Jones credited Flo for allowing the event to remain accessible to everyone:
That shows how cool these motherf***ers are.
What a massive liability it is for me to sign a contract with them.
