Craig Jones Answers If New Wave Will Compete At CJI 2

Craig Jones recently held an impromptu “Ask Me Anything” session on Reddit, offering some intriguing insights into the upcoming Craig Jones Invitational 2 (CJI 2)…
Including the potential involvement of rival team New Wave Jiu-Jitsu.

When asked about whether New Wave would compete in the team grappling tournament format of CJI 2, Jones expressed optimism:

I’m confident New Wave will participate.

However, when the topic shifted to Gordon Ryan’s potential involvement, Jones was less certain:

Gordon being on a team is unlikely, though I bully him, I don’t doubt he’s struggling with his health right now.

As for Jones himself, he revealed that he probably won’t compete as part of the B-Team Jiu-Jitsu roster in the event.
Instead, he hinted at a different role:

I’m more likely to do a super fight.

Jones explained that his current focus on organizing events like CJI 2 has taken a toll on his training regimen:

I sadly am not training much these days.
These side projects are overwhelming me, and I’m not nearly as good as I once was.
