Craig Jones has officially announced the return of B-Team Jiu-Jitsu, revealing plans for a brand new academy that will serve as the team’s headquarters.
While Jones confirmed the project publicly, he has yet to reveal where the new facility will be located.
That has led to plenty of speculation, particularly given his nomadic lifestyle over the past several years.
The Australian grappling star has spent significant time living and training in multiple countries throughout his career.
In addition to his native Australia, Jones has operated out of Puerto Rico, New York, and Texas, while also regularly teaching and training in Thailand.
Because of his extensive travel schedule, it seems unlikely that Jones will be the academy’s sole instructor.
Most major competitive academies rely on a team of coaches, and it remains unclear who will join him in building the new project.
The announcement comes after Jones parted ways with the original B-Team Jiu-Jitsu members who helped launch the academy in 2021.
That group has since rebranded as Simple Man Martial Arts and continues to find success on the competition circuit.
In many ways, Jones is now starting from scratch once again.
However, he has already proven he can build a successful academy from the ground up.
When B-Team first launched in 2021, the team quickly established itself as one of the most influential no-gi training centers in the world.
