Copa Podio Jiu-Jitsu Reality Show To Be Featured On TV

 

 

A big step for Jiu-Jitsu in Brazil: In partnership with Copa Podio, the TV channel “Woohoo” will broadcast every Sunday, starting at 21:30, the best matches from Copa Podio events. The program begins Oct. 5.

The first season of Copa Podio on the Brazilian TV channel Whoohoo will feature 10 programs and include specials on the last two GPs, with in-studio presentations and commentary, The Team reality show (photo), along with a few unprecedented challenges and other new features that the production team is preparing for fans of the gentle art.

For fans outside of Brazil, the program will be provided at no cost a few days after airing on television, on the event’s official website.

This week, event organizers will be defining the date for the program’s debut on the channel and make an official announcement:

 

“The program is going to happen. Our goal is to contribute to the growth of the sport. The difference will be the dynamic for the viewer feel the emotion, “they said.

 

Copa Podio champion Felipe Preguica Pena , and participant in the reality show The Team had this to say:

 

“The best part is that we could train with guys from different teams, which usually we wouldn’t do train because they could fight for the championship. I enjoyed the reality show and the public will like it. I was very happy to know that the event will be televised, this is a big step for Jiu-Jitsu. It will be a success. I am thrilled to be part of it and hopefully help publicize all the qualities of our sport to people who watch us, ”

 

Copa Podio President Jeferson Mayca had this to say:
