Conor McGregor Struck By Car, Thanks Judo & Wrestling: “Having Awareness On The Landing Saved My Life”

It’s not every day that you hear someone crediting judo or/and wrestling for saving their life in a traffic accident… But that’s exactly what Conor McGregor did.

Just a day ago, McGregor was driving his bike – seemingly as a part of his everyday training. However, he was then struck by a car.
Miraculously, the MMA fighter suffered only minor injuries. And he credits his judo and wrestling training for it:

Got a bang of a car just now from behind. A sun trap, the driver couldn’t see me. Full speed straight thru me. Thank you God, it wasn’t my time.

Thank you wrestling and judo also. Having an awareness on the landing saved my life.

In the video that McGregor shared on his social media, he could be heard telling the driver not to worry about what happened.
The driver ultimately put McGregor’s bike in the back of his car and gave the former two-division UFC champion a drive home.

And yes, McGregor’s wrestling skills are extremely good. For example, you can see his takedown defense training on the video below:
