Cole Abate Wins IBJJF World Championship 2023 Brown Belt Title

Cole Abate doesn’t seem to be keen on stopping with successes anytime soon.
Even though he is only a brown belt, he’s already created a name of himself around the world; for example, he won the ADCC North American Trials when he was just 16 years old and a blue belt!

And now, Abate has won the IBJJF World Championship 2023 lightweight brown belt title!

He defeated all 5 of his opponents in a dominant fashion, displaying entertaining and high level Jiu-Jitsu for the spectators’ enjoyment.
So it goes without saying that the future is bright for Abate and that he’ll be an even bigger force to be reckoned with when he starts competing at the black belt level!

And he, too, is looking forward to what the future’s got in store:

Everything is going according to plan.

I set out on a goal as a little kid to win world titles at every belt level and so far have been successful at that after winning at the brown belt today.
I plan to keep raising the bar for myself and setting even bigger goals to be able to win black belt worlds in the first year.

That’s what my eyes are set on.
