CJI: Kade Ruotolo & Nicky Rodriguez Walk Away With $1 Million Prize Each

The Craig Jones Invitational (CJI) lived up to its hype – and it ended with both Nicky Rodriguez and Kade Ruotolo winning their respective divisions, earning the $1 million prizes.

In the under 80kg final, Kade Ruotolo faced Levi Jones-Leary in a tightly contested match.

Ruotolo, known for his dynamic and aggressive style, consistently pushed the pace, attempting to impose his game on Jones-Leary.
However, Jones-Leary’s defense was strong – countering Ruotolo’s attacks and maintaining composure throughout.

Despite several close submission attempts, neither competitor could secure a finish, and the match went the distance.
In the end, Ruotolo’s relentless pressure and control earned him the victory on points, securing the $1 million prize.

In the over 80kg division, Nicky Rodriguez took on Felipe Andrew in a clash of styles.

Rodriguez, known for his powerful wrestling and pressure-heavy approach, immediately took the fight to Andrew. He managed to take Andrew down early in the match, maintaining top control and continually threatening submissions.
Andrew, a skilled guard player, attempted to create opportunities to sweep or submit, but Rodriguez’s relentless pressure kept him on the defensive.

As the match progressed, Rodriguez’s dominance became more apparent, and he eventually secured a Rear Naked Choke, forcing Andrew to tap.

With the submission victory, Rodriguez claimed the $1 million prize and solidified his status as one of the top competitors in the sport.
