Chechen MMA Fighter Pulls Gun On Iranian Opponent During Podcast

Crazy stuff happens during podcasts… But this might be the craziest so far.
A Chechen MMA fighter is being investigated after he pulled out a gun during a podcast recording, threatening his Iranian rival with it – and forcing him to kneel.

The incident took place on the set of the “Rating Brothers” podcast in Moscow (Russia), where Shovkhal Churchaev spoke with his opponent, Mohammad Hebati.
The conversation remained civil for most of the interview. However, at the end of the show, Churchaev unexpectedly started punching Hetabi. These punches forced the Iranian fighter to the ground. And then, the Chechen fighter pulled out a gun and demanded Hetabi to kneel before him.

The footage of the incident has been published on the podcast’s YouTube channel:

After the incident, Hetabi revealed that the Iraninan embassy in Russia has been notified about what happened:

The Iranian ambassador contacted me and invited me to his place.
We talked to him, I told him what happened. Now the Iranian ambassador wants to resolve this issue. A person is threatened with a gun, this is no longer a trash talk.

Churchaev has also been criticized by the Chechen dictator Ramzan Kadyrov, who said that he’ll punish the fighter for his “inappropriate behavior”.
