Charles Oliveira’s Daughter Wins Gold In BJJ Debut At Just 9 Years Old

Tayla Oliveira made a memorable first impression on the competition mats this past weekend – walking away with gold in her debut tournament!

The nine-year-old, daughter of Charles Oliveira and Talita Roberta (who is also a BJJ black belt), competed at a local championship in Guaruja, Brazil.
In her first outing, she delivered a composed performance, using steady pressure and control to secure victory – earning her first-degree white belt in the process.

After the match, Tayla shared her excitement on social media:

My first championship. I am very happy that I achieved my first jiu-jitsu victory.
Thank you all for the affection and the support! Let’s go up… Oss!

Her father, fresh off a major win of his own, shared a proud message:

So perfect!!! Congratulations daughter, SO PROUD OF YOU!

Just days earlier, Oliveira had delivered a dominant performance at UFC 326, earning a unanimous 50-45 decision over Max Holloway to capture the BMF title.

His grappling control played a central role in the victory, reinforcing his reputation as one of the most dangerous submission artists in the sport.
