Charles Oliveira, (or Charles do Bronx) is a BJJ black belt under Jorge Patino, and one of the rising stars in MMA – today. The Gold Team standout made a name for himself fighting in smaller MMA shows in Brazil, but rapidly climbed up the ladder of success to reach the biggest martial arts stage of all, the UFC. He won the CBJJE worlds at blue at weight and absolute.

Next Saturday, BJJ fighter Charles “Do Bronx” Oliveira will have a big test pf fire in the UFC . The featherweight will measure himself against Frankie Edgar , at UFC 162, in Las Vegas.

Frankie Edgar is known for his iron will and always going forward in a fight. The american has four losses in his career, all by decision.

“In this fight, I will show that I am not just a Jiu-Jitsu fighter, I know a little of everything. He’s not a guy that is vulnerable. Nobody has ever finished him, then, he is a good guy. It is the opportunity that I wanted. It was the fight that I asked for last time when I was in the Octagon, “said the BJJ black belt in an official video released by the organization.

Do Bronx has eight fights in the UFC, with four wins, three losses and one no contest. However, if he can beat the former lightweight champion of the organization, he will be elevated to another level in the category.
