Buchecha Announces Next MMA Fight: “Against Reug Reug, In Three Months”

Marcus “Buchecha” Almeida is coming back to action in the ONE Championship octagon – on August 5th!
Buchecha announced it himself, in a recent interview with the South China Morning Post.

The match will be against the Senegalese MMA fighter, Oumar “Reug Reug” Kane:

August 5th, I’ll be back inside the circle once again. It’s going to be against Reug Reug, in Thailand, Bangkok.

Super excited. I’ve always wanted to fight there, so now, I’m doing it.
In three months, we will be inside ONE Championship circle once again.

He is excited about the match because it will be, in his words, a “BJJ vs Senegalese wrestling” showdown:

It’s going to be Brazilian jiu-jitsu versus Senegal wrestling so it’s a good match-up.
I think it’s going to be exciting for everyone watching so I hope it happens.

Additionally, Buchecha says that he really isn’t in any sort of a rush for his next fights.
He wants to fight Reug Reug first, and then he’ll set his focus further:

I think about him, Reug Reug. Then after that, we’re going to see about the next step.

Like I said, I just started MMA, so I’m in no rush. I’ll take my time slowly.
