[BREAKING] Mikey Musumeci Explains Reason for Pulling Out Of CJI Superfight

Unfortunate news are coming straight from Craig Jones, who shared on social media that Mikey Musumeci will not be competing at the Craig Jones Invitational (CJI).

Mikey has pulled out of the match.
But why?

Well, it appears that “Darth Rigatoni” was supposed to have a match with another legend of the sport.
However, the match apparently fell through and that might’ve been the reason why Mikey opted out.

Here is what he had to say about the situation on his Instagram story:

We were attempting to make a legendary match that would have probably been the most viewed Jiu-Jitsu math ever, but it fell through in the end.

I want to thank Craig Joens for the opportunity he gave me; I will still be heavily supporting his event and what he is doing for Jiu-Jitsu!

There has been some speculation so as to who Musumeci’s opponent should have been.
Some have been saying that it should’ve been Marcelo Garcia. Others that it was Rafael Mendes…

But no matter who that might’ve been, the match went through.
However, Mikey is still slated to compete in a match that will be a treat for BJJ fans worldwide:

Two months still until the biggest match of my life, September 6 in Denver with Kade [Ruotolo] in ONE Championship.
