The BJJ Stars promotion returns to action on November 6 (Saturday) with its seventh edition. BJJ Stars 7 will feature a packed tournament, with the main event bout between Gilbert Burns and Lucas “Hulk” Barbosa.
BJJ STARS 7: WHAT TO EXPECT
The Burns vs. Barbosa match, aside from being the main event one, is also the bout which BJJ fans are looking forward to the most. And the reason? Well, Burns is a former UFC welterweight title challenger (lost to Kamaru Usman) who has a 20-4 professional record in mixed martial arts. Aside from his formidable MMA streak, he’s greatly successful in submission grappling as well; this year, he beat Rafael Lovato Jr. at a Who’s Number One (WNO) match.
Barbosa is a well-experienced BJJ competitor himself; a 4x IBJJF No Gi World Champion, with 2021 being a rather successful grappling year for him as well. So, the match between the two is expected to be rather dynamic and fast-paced!
