BJJ Legend Fernando “Margarida” Pontes Back In Action, Wins MMA Fight By KO

BJJ Legend and multiple time world BJJ champion (Including 2001 double world champion at 21 years old) Fernando “Margarida” Pontes won his second official MMA  fight at Fair Fight, an MMA event held last Sunday in São Paulo.

Margarida beat  Paraguayan fighter Edgar “Ryuk” Dayan. The fight started with Margarida connecting with strikes in the first round and taking him  down a few times. After hitting his opponent with a hard punch, Margarida followed up with a GnP flurry and the referee stepped in to stop the fight at 2:23 of the first round.

We hope to see Margarida fight again in MMA or BJJ events.
