In an interview with tatame (in Portuguese), the fighter talked about his training camp in the USA, and that he would be focusing on MMA after the Worlds…

“I did most of my training in Ju-Jitsu in the United States, Arizona, at the academy of Megaton, and had MMA training in the Lab, the Academy of Ben Henderson. I also went to San Jose for the last ten days to workout with Caio Terra, with him and his students, and the entire group of Soul Fighters who came here this year and trained together. I’m feeling great, “he says.

Tanquinho said that after the Worlds, Tanquinho said that he would take a break from the kimono and will focus on MMA training. The Brazilian usually trains with UFC lightweight champion, Ben Henderson.

“First I’ll take care of some minor injuries and then I will devote myself exclusively to MMA. I’m staying away a little from the events of Jiu-Jitsu, not sure for how long. Let’s see how my MMA career goes… “says Augusto.
