After the last year’s ADCC had to be postponed due to the unforeseen COVID-19 pandemic, ADCC 2022 now has a set date and location.
Mo Jassim, the man behind the promotion, made an announcement for the event on the ADCC’s Instagram account. The event will take place on September 17 and 18 in Las Vegas, Nevada; in the Thomas and Mack Arena, which is supposed to fit a maximum of around 10,000 spectators.
Here’s what Jassim said in the post:
I’m going to put a lot of pressure on myself and say it now, ADCC 2022 will be the biggest grappling event of all times and there is no way I let ADCC, Abu Dhabi, the competitors, the coaches and the fans down. I will surpass everyone’s expectations and this will be a historic event and I feel sorry for the grappling fans who don’t see it live.

The ADCC 2022 competitors themselves are yet to be announced, but perhaps the most interesting matchup that could take place is the long-awaited superfight between Gordon Ryan and Andre Galvao; as it has been mentioned by Jassim beforehand.
