ADCC 2013 has just ended, however the location of the next event is already know. ADCC wil come back to Brazil: to the city of Manaus in the amazon. Manaus has a string Jiu-Jitsu culture having produced such BJJ legends as Saulo& Xande Ribeiro, Jacare Souza, Bibiano Fernandes, Gabriel Moraes, Ary Farias etc…

This is what Rickson Gracie had to say about the return to ADCC to Brazil, which has not happened since 2003, back in Sao Paulo:

“Having the ADCC in Manaus is a great merit of the administrative effort of the Municipality. This proves that the city is becoming the mecca of Jiu-Jitsu, and it also happens that it’s a little out of political controversy and tumult of Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo. Manaus deserves such a big event by what the community does and did for Jiu-Jitsu. Surely my son Kron and I will be there, “said Rickson.

About who he would like to see in Manus:

“There are so many quality fighters that is difficult to say. But speaking as a parent, I would always see my son representing Jiu-Jitsu at large events. So, sure I would like to see my son make a super fight with any opponent, “he said,

Rickson also talked about the Abu Dhabi World Pro (gi) and ADCC:

“The ADCC is undoubtedly the biggest grappling event in the planet. In Abu Dhabi World Pro time of six minutes makes a fight more locked, more strategic, without conditions where Jiu-Jitsu proves to be a most efficient way. In ADCC the fight is longer and the guys can show their true potential, ” said Rickson.
