Will Gordon Ryan Compete in the Gi? Meregali Reveals His Teammate’s Plans & Sends a Warning: ‘He Will Finish Everyone’

Gordon Ryan, widely recognized as the leading figure in the grappling world, is considering a transition to competing in Jiu-Jitsu with a gi.

This potential shift was hinted at by his friend and training partner, Nicholas Meregali, who himself made the opposite move, going to No Gi two years ago.

Meregali, the reigning absolute world champion for the IBJJF in 2022, switched to No-Gi the same year and achieved remarkable success by claiming two medals at the ADCC.
Meregali took to his official Instagram account to share a photo alongside Ryan, both donning kimonos, and expressed his anticipation for Ryan’s future accomplishments in gi competitions.

He confidently stated, “In less than 6 months, Gordon Ryan will dominate all gi athletes in the world. I wish you the best of luck,” Meregali posted.
