Why You Should NEVER Let Your Opponent Control Both Your Ankles

There is a reason why in BJJ and especially in MMA, you should never allow your opponent to control both your ankles. Once they do that, they have control of your legs and can either throw your legs over and pass your guard or in MMA, land a Donkey Kong type punch.

Renzo gracie black belt and UFC vet Ricardo Almeida talks about this in this post:

“That is some guard passing….@renzograciebjj always told us to never ever let the opponent on top control both ankles. Renzo is the most knowledgeable Jiu Jitsu instructor when it comes to MMA…from everyone I know at least!”
